MusicMakers! Summer Camp Raises $1,232.77 to aid Maya’s Hope and Donice Rufus Memorial Scholarship Fund

The amazing generosity of our camp family in Summer 2022 has funded a donation of $616.39 to Maya’s Hope’s “Help for Ukraine” Children’s Campaign, and a $625 college scholarship for a deserving past camper/ counselor/ college music student. The 2022 Donice Rufus Memorial Scholarship winner is Donice’s daughter, Delisa Rufus. Delisa has been a camper, counselor, and instructor at MusicMakers! since she was 8 years old. Donice Rufus was the original Woodwinds instructor at the camp, but she passed away suddenly in 2011. Delisa is set to finish her undergraduate degree in music education at Florida International University in Spring 2023. Congratulations Ms. Delisa, and a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to make these donations possible!
